Rooibos is also known as red tea or red bush tea, and is a herbal variety. It is made using leaves from a shrub, usually grown on the western coast of South Africa.
Most people steep rooibos in hot water for 4 to 7 minutes, but it’s traditionally simmered in hot water for half an hour (to release more antioxidants and health benefits), and served with milk.
