Organic Red Quinoa

Red quinoa is a great substitution for rice. It’s high in fibre, minerals and oxidants, naturally gluten-free and an excellent source of protein.
Directions: Rinse thoroughly by running under fresh water for 3 minutes. Place 1 cup grain and 2 cups water in saucepan. Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce to simmer, stirring occasionally for 7 to 10 minutes.
1 cup of dry quinoa = 3 cups cooked

A staple in my pantry!
I have always had quinoa as a staple in my pantry, and now I'm so happy I can do so plastic free! I like the red quinoa - has a slightly more nutty taste to me which I enjoy. Love making salads a little more filling by adding quinoa!
