Organic Brown Basmati Rice





This organic brown basmati rice is a long grain variety that is versatile and smells beautiful. These are fluffy, nutritious whole grains, and don’t stick together when cooked; ideal for curries, stir-fries, salads, pilafs, and desserts.

This grain cooks best in a 1:1.75 – 2 ratio of rice to water/broth. The following steps are from Lundberg’s product page.


Stovetop Cooking Instructions:

Combine rice, liquid, and butter or oil in a pot, and bring to a boil.

Cover with a tight-fitting lid. Reduce heat to maintain a low simmer, and cook for 15 minutes.

Remove from heat (keep covered) and steam for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.


Rice Cooker Instructions:

To prepare in a rice cooker, use the same liquid to rice ratio. If rice is too firm at the end of cooking, it may be necessary to add 1-2 tbsp liquid and cook longer.
